Open shuttle

Open Shuttles are free-moving vehicles that can be used for transport and picking activities and are Shuttles are especially suited for the complex transport networks within a warehouse.

Open Shuttles are different from conventional “driverless transport systems” (FTS) as they can move completely freely across a surface without lines for guidance. The shuttles react dynamically to obstacles and can plan an alternate to the optimal route; order parameters are taken into consideration, which providing optimal throughput.

The Open Shuttles are intelligent, freely-navigating precision transport systems. They move within the warehouse using laser navigation and have the ability to react quickly to new routes or changes in transport routes. The Open Shuttle fleet management centrally monitors and manages all the movements of the Open Shuttles, optimizes transport paths, prevents collision, locks specific areas and coordinates the energy management of the Open Shuttles.
