Applications in production
Pallet Handling Systems are required in production process to transport and buffer raw material or semi-finished products.
The goods are transported on pallets, in containers or in customized racks between production areas or machines.
The process often requires ergonomically designed work stations, robot handling equipment and AS/RS as buffer storage.
AGV (Automated guided vehicles) are often used to transfer pallets, which contributes to a more open production environment.
Applications in warehouses
KNAPP AB offers a complete range of Pallet Handling Systems for storage, picking and distribution solutions in warehouses.
A diverse selection of Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems are available as single or multiple-depth storage.
The AS/RS is often utilized for distribution of full or half pallets, or for item picking at picking stations or in picking aisles.
We have experience from applications in many different customer segments for food, non-food, e-commerce, fashion, pharmacy, cosmetics, media, office, tools and spares, and frozen goods.
Applications for palletizing
Machine lines are also supplied for palletizing, de-palletizing,and stacking of totes on trolleys or pallets.
Palletizing machines may be supplied as an end of the line machine palletizing production for one line or as a centralised palletizing area with multiple robots palletizing the production from several lines.
The pallets are usually wrapped and labelled automatically after palletizing.
